DIY: Metallic Feather Earrings

I’ve been planning to make these earrings for years now, but I just haven’t gotten around to it until now. I am so happy with how they turned out and I might make other versions of them in the future.

1. The first thing you need to do is to simply paint your feathers in a downward motion, then if you want you can pull the sides of the feathers to make them more voluminous. It’s best to do this before the paint dries completely. (If your feathers doesn’t have end connectors already you need to add them before the next step. Since my feathers were parts from another pair of earrings they already had them.)

2. When the paint is dry it’s as simple as adding jump rings and ear wire hooks using your tongs, and then you’re finished!

As you can see I made a gold pair and a silver pair, but any other color looks great as well!

What do you think?

Have fun creating!
