My Favorite Basic

During the winter (and fall) there is one piece of clothing that I wear everyday and it’s the basic long sleeve top. I have four of exactly the same kind (two black, two white) and I wear these underneath almost everything. With good basics it’s so much easier to style an outfit and if you find the perfect piece you should consider getting more than one (preferably in different colors.) If you have a specific basic that you wear almost everyday invest in one with high quality and you’ll be able two use it for so much longer.

When layering I always start off with a basic long sleeve (and if it’s really cold a pair of black tights) and then I start to layer. I’m planning to make a post in the future about layering and I will most likely write more about basics in coming posts.

Do you have a basic piece you wear almost everyday? Is it good quality?(I know mine isn’t) Maybe this is what we should spend our clothing money on before anything else, I know I could never live without it.
