DIY: Patch & Embroidery Jeans with lips, stars and hearts

Ever since I laid eyes on these Vivetta jeans above I have been in love and I decided I had to make a similar pair. Naturally I had to share this project with you and I hope you like it!

What I used to make these jeans was:

  • Jeans (I used skinny jeans and then turned them in to crop flares.)
  • Patches (but if you don’t have any that’s fine.)
  • Yarn, for embroidery (I forgot to add the red one in the photo)
  • Scissors
  • Thread
  • Needles
  • A fabric crayon
  • Finally some coffee although that’s optional.

  • The first thing I did was to lay out my jeans and decide where I wanted the patches.

  • Then I pinned them in place.

  • Then I sewed on the patches.

  • Once I had sewed on my patches I used fabric crayon to draw stars where I wanted my embroidery and I drew them in different sizes spread out randomly.

  • I also drew the outlines of lips in two places.

  • Once I was happy with the stars and lips I started sewing with the embroidery thread following the lines and filling some of the centers in.

  • The lips I outlined with white and I filled them in with red.

I thought this process would be a bit boring but it was actually quite satisfying and I really enjoyed it. I hope you liked this posts, if you did please share and like it using the buttons below!

Have a lovely day!
