Paris Fashion: 3 Outfits Inspired By My Paris Trip

Paris Outfits

Whenever I’m going somewhere that requires packing, I always make sure my outfits are cohesive. The last time I used this fun technique was a few weeks ago when I went to Paris. The style, print and colors of the outfits I wore made me so inspired. If I would have needed more outfits, that wouldn’t have been a problem at all. Because we only had a few days I didn’t need that many. So I decided to make more just because I wanted too, and I figured it would make an interesting post. Today I’m only showing you three outfits, but there is certainly more where that came from.

You may already have seen my outfits from Paris, but here is a sum up of what style I went for:

  • Black and white with red accents mostly.
  • Printed pieces, such as; stripes and plaid (preferably mixed together)
  • Mixed styles, such as skirt and sneakers together.
  • Details and more details.

The 3 Outfits

The outfits I put together are like I said inspired by my own outfits and the idea I had in my head. They’re not necessarily inspired by the actual trip, although the trip was extremely inspiring and I really recommend going there. The variation of the style in Paris variates tremendously which is quite an experience in itself. If you need inspiration when you’re there I recommend sitting down outside a cafe and just look at the people passing by. Don’t forget to order in coffee/wine and a freshly baked croissant. Honestly I have loads more to say about cafés in Paris but for now, here are my three outfits.

The Prince of Wales Plaid

This super trendy print is still just that; trendy and I am still in love with it. For this first outfit, I have gathered nearly all my pieces in the gorgeous print (although I’m not actually wearing my beloved plaid blazer) to create a whole outfit. I love how perfectly my crop top from Forever  21 one goes with my Zara pants. For a pop of color, I wore my red Topshop shoes which matched my nails and lips perfectly. I also added white cat-eye sunglasses, a polka dot scarf, a black bag with red accents and my Thomas Sabo bracelet.

My Christian Dior inspired bra straps ads something extra (to most outfits.) If you are wondering how I made the straps you can check out my old DIY post. Since that post, I have actually remade my straps and sewed them onto a new bra, but they were made in the same manner. Although I did a more thorough job the second time around.

Black and Pink Queen

Pink and black have always been a combo that I’m fond of and that’s one of the reasons why the second outfit has that combo. I had been making several pink and black outfits before Paris so I decided to use one of them for this post. The queen choker from Forever 21, looked black and white in the picture (so it would have been perfect with the other Paris outfits), but when I got it I realized that it was black and pink. I was disappointed at first but did decide to keep it because liked the way it looked. With all the pink and black outfits hanging on my rack it was obvious to me that I should add the choker to one of the outfits. Unfortunately, because I had planned (and bought)all the Paris outfits already I wasn’t able to bring one of the other outfits.

The outfit that I choose includes a pink bomber jacket paired with a pair of black kick flares with a feather trim. I love the mix of elegant and sporty in this look and to add more sport into it I chose a pair of By Malene Birger sneakers in black and white. I wore a black fake leather crop top underneath the bomber to add an edgy element, a pair of cat-eye sunglasses and of course my queen choker.

Dior Inspired Princess

(the royal titles were not planned, but certainly fitting)

This last outfit was the only one I was uncertain about and it ended up being my favorite. The outfit was inspired by the latest Christian Dior shows which had plenty of varieties of a bustier dress with the different Christian Dior straps. These were similar to the ones that inspired me to make my bra straps. I wasn’t sure how to create this outfit at first but worked it out (obviously.) What I did was, I started with the bra and then I layered a tight black bustier dress on top. Then I added my new ruffled tulle skirt that I wore in Paris on top, and then I added another tulle skirt on top of that. I topped it off with a “tribal” print belt that’s actually the waistband from a pair of jeans. I wore my low slingback pumps and added a black bag with my polka dot scarf as a bag strap. Finally, I added a skinny black choker and my love earrings.

For something extra I posed with my gorgeous iPhone 8 plus in red, I love it so much!
