Bonjour!<\/h3>\n

I recently came home from my very first trip to Paris and I\u00a0am exhausted. Although I had some bad luck during this trip because\u00a0of an upset stomach and dying\u00a0feet due to a lot of walking (about 15 to 25\u00a0thousand steps a day.) I have had an amazing trip and I really want to go back. Because of the shortage of time, there are so many things we didn’t have time for, but I shall return.<\/p>\n

For today’s post I am going to share some of the many photos I have taken during this trip. Because it was only a three-day trip, all pictures were taken with my new red iPhone 8 plus. (this first one was taken with my red Nikon 5200)<\/p>\n

Paris: Day 1<\/h3>\n

After arriving in Paris, we made our way to the hotel, freshened up and then began walking towards Lafayette. If there is ever a time you feel extremely poor, it’s when you’re walking around among all the designer bags you ever saw in Vogue. Not a great feeling, but it makes you want to save more money. Someday, I am going to enter Lafayette, pick a designer bag and buy it, and maybe a few more things…<\/p>\n

Macarons In The Rain<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After walking around with your mouth open for about ten minutes (because that’s about all you can take when you don’t have money..) we made our way to Ladur\u00e9e which was in the same building. Although the macarons existed in about 12 flavors, we all decided we wanted lemon hence the not so exciting photo. I also decided I wanted a croissant, but because they were out I had to settle for a pain au\u00a0chocolat which was not a problem at all of course. While we were sitting outside Lafayette enjoying our macarons the rain began pouring down. Although it was a bit struggle not getting wet by staying underneath the parasol, it was really cozy.<\/p>\n

Me and my sister were both pretty shaken when a woman passing by dropped the bottle in her hand, causing the wine it contained to be washed away by the rain, leaving the street red and the air filled with the smell of wine.<\/p>\n

Evening<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After this already eventful day, we made our way back to the hotel and got ready for the evening. We walked past Moulin Rouge which was close to our hotel and all the way up to Montmartre. We made our way to Place du Tertre and had some mussels, oysters and foie gros at La Cr\u00e9maill\u00e9re.<\/p>\n

Paris: Day 2<\/h3>\n

On the second day, we had a small breakfast and then made our way to le Louvre. We passed la Pyramide\u00a0du Louvre with the intent of entering the museum later during the day. We walked through the Arc de\u00a0Triomphe\u00a0du Carrousel back towards Rue de Rivoli. After such a long walk(and a small breakfast), we were all a bit hungry so we stopped and had some salad at Le Carrousel. After a fresh Caprese salad, we walked towards la Librairie Galignani which was incredible. If you love books as much as my sister who bought about three books, I really recommend going there.<\/p>\n

Le Louvre<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After spending a long time in the bookshop we headed back to la Pyramide du Louvre, took some tourist photos and then entered le Louvre. Although we didn’t spend much time there, it was an amazing experience. The Louvre was the only museum we visited this time but when we go back I plan on visiting le Mus\u00e9e Marmottan Monet, Mus\u00e9e de l’Orangerie and of course Monet’s garden in Giverny. Our main goal inside the Louvre was, of course, the Mona Lisa which was as small as they say, although it’s a standard size for me when I’m painting… Although I made my way to the front to take a picture the glass around ruined it a bit so I’m not showing you the pictures.<\/p>\n

Vintage Shops<\/strong><\/h4>\n

After the Louvre we headed towards the 3rd and 4th arrondissement where we walked into some vintage stores. We found one with a lot of designer items but none of us bought anything. I kind of wish I had, but we’ll head back the next time \ud83d\ude09 .\u00a0Then we began to walk back to the hotel room to prepare for the evening. On the way, we sat down at the only place I have ever been to where they didn’t have any form of coffee. I didn’t dare to have anything else because of my stomach so I didn’t get anything.<\/p>\n

After getting ready for the evening we began walking towards Montmartre, we entered le Sacr\u00e9-C\u0153ur which was so beautiful and powerful. After, we headed back to Place du Tertre and ate at\u00a0Au Cadet de Gascogne where I had an amazing pasta with salmon.<\/p>\n

Paris: Day 3<\/h3>\n

For the third and last day, it was obvious where we needed to go, La Tour Eiffel of course. But first, we had some breakfast in the form of gluten-free chocolat\u00a0et banane\u00a0g\u00e2teau (cake) at Marlette. After buying the gluten-free cake mix they were selling inside, we began our long walk towards the Eiffel Tower.<\/p>\n

On the way we stopped to take some pictures in front of the gold door near Champs-Elys\u00e9es, it was 6 Rue Marbeuf if you would like to see it (it was the same building as Hartwood Paris). We then walked across la Seine and towards the Eiffel Tower. I have to say it was a lot bigger than expected but also more magnificent. We walked towards Champ de Mars where we took our pictures of La Tour Eiffel. Next time I would like to see it at night as well as eat at one of the restaurants inside.<\/p>\n

Walking Back To The Hotel<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On the way back to the hotel to get our bags, we passed Pont Alexandre III and walked across Pont De la Concorde. We walked past Mus\u00e9e de l’Orangerie and considered going in but decided it wasn’t worth it (we didn’t have that much time.) But like I mentioned earlier, I’m going there next time \ud83d\ude09 .\u00a0We then walked through Jardin des Tuileries, sat down and grabbed some beers at Pavillion des Tuileries and then continued through the magnificent Place Vend\u00f4me.\u00a0Because I was hungry I also grabbed a freshly baked croissant on the way, which happened to be the only one I got in Paris.<\/p>\n

That was our trip to Paris and I’ve already begun\u00a0planning our next visit, although it will be a few years in the future. But we’re going to Greece in the fall, New York in the spring and possibly London sometime next year, so you can expect some travel posts either way.<\/p>\n
