7 Layered outfits for the winter season

7 Layered outfits for the winter season

All of my life I have struggled to keep warm during the winter because I am someone who is cold most of the time. I remember, when I was little, my mom would make me wear tights underneath my jeans and snow pants over them when I went outside. Although that annoyed me back then, I know now that’s the reason I didn’t freeze to death. And so, layered outfits has always been something I’ve needed in my life. But it was when I got older that I realized layered outfits could look good too. . . .  read more

Beach Vacation: Outfit inspiration And Travel Tips

I am finally back after taking an unexpected break, I guess you could call it a semester 😉 But I'm officially back and I have a lot of ideas for my absolute favorite season, fall. But for now, I am focusing on summer outfits, not because it's still summer (it's certainly not warm outside any longer) but because I have a beach vacation coming up. . . .  read more

Paris Fashion: 3 Outfits Inspired By My Paris Trip

Paris Fashion: 3 Outfits Inspired By My Paris Trip

Whenever I'm going somewhere that requires packing, I always make sure my outfits are cohesive. The last time I used this fun technique was a few weeks ago when I went to Paris. The style, print and colors of the outfits I wore made me so inspired. If I would have needed more outfits, that wouldn't have been a problem at all. Because we only had a few days I didn't need that many. So I decided to make more just because I wanted too, and I figured it would make an interesting post. Today I'm only showing you three outfits, but there is certainly more where that came from. . . .  read more

The Comfortable Shoe

Sneakers; they are classic, they are versatile and they are comfortable. When walking a lot, sneakers are necessary to avoid agonizing pain which is unfortunate for us people who love heels. Whether you think it’s worth the pain is of course completely up to you as long as you’re not complaining about it to other people…

Something I have mentioned before is that I’m going to Paris very soon and my mom and sister insist that I wear sneakers. Although I agree, I am determined not to sacrifice style in order to be comfortable. And so, the search for the perfect white sneakers (for my style and taste) began.

The Search For The Sneaker

Even before my search began, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. Unfortunately, figuring out what I wanted wasn’t nearly as difficult as actually finding them. For a while, I had decided to order a pair of Michael Kors, but because they weren’t exactly what I wanted, I decided it wasn’t worth the money. I had also been looking at the ones I actually bought in the end (they were perfect, except for some minor details, but I wasn’t going to find anything closer) but they were out of stock. Fortunately, they were restocked and I ordered them immediately. Here is a link if you’re interested.

Once the sneakers arrived was relieved to find that they fit me perfectly, that they looked even better in person and that they were super comfy. Because of much I love my new sneakers I decided I needed to make this post. Another reason being that these sneakers are the perfect example of that you actually can be stylish and comfortable at the same time.

Five Outfits One Pair Of White Sneakers

As I created these five outfits the thought “what shoes should I wear with this outfit” probably crossed my mind three times. But all outfits are paired with my new white sneakers from Tata Italia, just to be clear 😀

Floral Artworks

I have always loved drawing and painting, but up until a few weeks ago, it had been a while since I last did it. Thanks to all the creative Twitch streams and the inspiring people in them, I have gotten started again. I have been experimenting with classic pencils, markers, oil, watercolors and acrylic. The plan is to keep this up for as long as possible because of how happy it makes me.

For this post I’m showing you three different outfits, each inspired by a floral artwork. Surprisingly, none of the pieces I’m wearing actually have floral prints. I decided to focus more on the colors and the vibes of each artwork instead. The artworks I chose to include two Monet’s (because he’s my favorite) and one Van Gogh.

Claude Monet – Waterlilies

First up we have one of Claude Monet’s many waterlily paintings, which were painted in his garden in Giverny, France. Ever since I learned about him in school, I have wanted to visit his garden and some day I will. To interpret this beautiful painting I chose to wear my new blue velvet wrap dress from MISA Los Angeles (Revolve) that I bought for a very special occasion. I paired it with my light blue denim pumps and a pair of purple flower earrings that I made myself.

Claude Monet – Tulip fields in Holland

The second artwork is one of Claude Monet’s, Tulips in Holland. I am not sure of what time of the day this particular piece was painted, but in the morning maybe? Before I started preparing this post I had never seen this piece, but I’m glad that I have now. The colors in this painting make me smile and also, it makes me want to go out and plant flowers..

Because of the beautiful colors I decided to wear my tomato red cold shoulder blouse and a pair of cream colored pants. To add more colors I paired it with my pink wrap pumps and a pair of yellow fabric earrings (made from the top in the next outfit which used to be a dress..)

Van Gogh – Sunflowers

Finally, the third artwork is Vincent Van Gogh’s classic Sunflowers in a vase. Despite it being such a simple motive, it is so beautiful and also happens to be one of his most popular pieces. Although this piece has a few different versions I chose this particular one because of the background.

Thanks to the color of the background, I was able to wear my pastel green slip dress underneath my yellow ruffle blouse. I paired it with my brown pumps and a pair of mismatched gold flower earrings.
