Happy Easter! I hope you have a wonderful day with lots of candy and good food. I ended up painting eggs yesterday like I said and I’m pretty pleased with them (see pictures below.) There’s still snow on the ground but we will spend the day at home so I went ahead and wore a true spring outfit with lots of color. . . .
Today when I woke up I was horrified; it was snowing as you can see above. I’m so grateful that I get to stay inside today and just have a fun cozy day. Painting eggs, planning food and wine for tomorrow and my outfit of course is what I’ll be doing today but also continuing with my new found craft love: wire wrapping. . . .
I have loved many combos over the years some of those come and gone, others are forgotten. But there are also combos that I love just as much today as I did when I first discovered them; one of these being the print combination leopard and stripes. It always looks amazing and It makes me feel on top. What you should think about when combining these prints is that none of them should steal the attention away from the other. For example the brown background shade in the pumps is rich but still dark just like the blue in the striped top; this makes everything more balanced because none of the colors are more intense than the other. . . .
One of the trends we saw during fashion month is the victorian collar. It’s so elegant and classy and I’m looking forward to use my collar with different combinations (just imagine it combined with jeans; what an interesting mix!) I have prepared a post on how I made my collar and it will be up soon. What do you think of this trend? . . .
A couple of days ago I put my favorite basic top on backwards (accidentally) and I realized I had a boat neck top I didn’t know I had. I have tried out wearing my tops backwards before but it has never looked the way I wanted it; but with this top it actually looked good. It might look a little off at the back due to the buttons going down the front, or is it the back… but I really like it! . . .
Today is one of those grey days when you’re waiting for the daylight to come; but it never does. I’m very tired today and I have a headache, so a typical Monday (not really, but it could be.) Apart from that I’m exited about Easter and hopefully more warm spring days. As always there will be a new post tomorrow, have a lovely day! . . .
