DIY Fridays: Easy Sculpture Wire Earrings

We go way back, we’re best friends forever. Like with many other things (like the beret and the belt) I always come back to it. I have loved the vest for as long as I can remember and considering how versatile it is, that’s not particularly strange. . . .
A couple of months ago I ordered a mesh turtleneck (well, two actually, but the other was very different from the picture..) It finally arrived after what feels like forever and I am very pleased. This particular one was way more comfortable than I thought it would be. I bought it on Aliexpress by the way, but I noticed it’s out of stock (here is a very similar one, my plan B.) Before I decided to order it (or anything) I thought it through by asking myself: How do I plan to wear it? Can I wear it in more than one way? How can I wear it during the fall and winter? . . .
Brooches and pins are not exactly a new thing, but they come and go like all other trends. I actually remember when it was last trending, or at least when it started. It was the year 2008, and it was thanks to the release of the first “Sex and the city” movie. It’s hard not to remember the first scene, when Carrie walks the street of Manhattan in her white and gold one shoulder dress, with a large flower. I remember her gorgeous Dior sandals that I wanted so bad.. Anyway, this gorgeous dress led to many people (including me) wearing large flower brooches. I still have my biggest flower brooch and now I might just be able to use it again. . . .
Showing your support can be done in several ways, but the most noticeable is probably wearing a pink ribbon. Another way is to wear something pink, whether it’s a dress, a coat or a scarf doesn’t matter. I think it’s important that it still reflects who you are and it makes you feel good. Like clothes and accessories in general. . . .
Many years ago when I first discovered Marni’s beautiful jewelry, I immediately fell in love. Every piece is so unique and interesting, and yet they’re all so simple. I’m really into brooches right now and because it’s a growing trend I decided to make some for myself. I ended up making two brooches and I’m so pleased. The felt flower brooch is inspired by this one, and theĀ other one isn’t inspired by a specific piece, but more by the label itself. The small one with a pair of sunglasses is my mom’s old brooch. Today I’m going to show you how I made these matching brooches. Hopefully I’ll get you inspired! . . .
