I have returned from hibernation! Although I'll admit, I would like to stay there because it is oh so cold. Before my long Christmas break, I doubted myself, because I had literally no inspiration left. A part of me worried that it would never return and that I had lost interest in fashion altogether. But I am excited to share that it has, in fact, returned, like the arrival of a pair of platform boots you've been expecting for weeks 😉 . . . .
With animal print making a huge comeback this year, I started to think about cow print. So I thought it was about time I did something I have wanted to do for a very long time. You see there is something I have always been lacking in my closet despite wanting it for many years. Let me begin by telling you a little story. . . .
If there is any DIY I love, it's the kind that looks store-bought and not homemade. I love finding ways to create a piece of jewelry instead of simply buying it in store. Because metal jewelry, in particular, is hard or at least not as common to create on your own, as opposed to something with pearls, it looks more store-bought. Thankfully it's so easy to find the right material online nowadays, there is no limit to what you can do. . . .
I remember years ago when the one shoulder top was trending and I wanted one so badly! If I remember correctly, my mom wouldn’t let me have one. But because of how inventive I am, I simply cut one of my old tops, hoping that would be good enough. It wasn’t, of course, because it was too loose around the chest area.. Other than that, it wasn’t similar at all to the top I actually wanted. I don’t remember its exact appearance, but I do know that it was red and white. With that said, the top above seems like the perfect alternative to satisfy my nine(ish) year old self, as well as my current needs for a new one shoulder top. . . .
